Drach's caves
Drach's caves

Formed by the entrance of the sea, they are the largest caves in Mallorca with a length of almost 2,400 meters. Inside, made up of four interconnected caves, is Lake Martel, one of the largest underground lakes in the world.

These caves emerged between 11 and 5.3 million years ago due to the action of rainwater. The different shades that we find in the walls or formations are due to the minerals dragged by the water as it crosses the ground.

Inside, innumerable and varied natural formations that invite you to give free rein to your imagination thanks to the speleologist E. A Martel, who discovered them. In addition, the engineer Carles Buïgas was in charge of lighting them, creating an ideal aura where the cave and water meet.
