Best bays in Mallorca
Now that the days are longer and the weather is getting nicer, the island of Mallorca is one of the favorite options for any sea lover for Easter. Mallorca is full of coastal corners to discover, where we can surround ourselves with white sands, soft rocks, mud springs and even mountainous coasts, it is truly a paradise! The bays are a particularly attractive option for being a place where we can escape from the crowded beaches and enjoy cleaner waters, a great marine biodiversity and a wilder nature. We suggest some perfect bays for you to enjoy during this week.

Es Trenc

Es Trenc is located on the south coast of Mallorca, between Sa Rapita and Colonia de Sant Jordi. With seven kilometers of coastline, white sand with surfaces up to 35 meters wide, what makes this beach different is the absence of buildings and tourist facilities, as well as the prohibition of water sports, thanks to the absolute freeze imposed by the government of the island a few years ago. It also has a great variety of native bird species that live in the wetlands of the beach. The perfect option for a day enjoying nature at its best.

Fornells Bay

On the southwest coast of Mallorca, in Peguera, Calviá, Fornells Bay is a charming bay with patches of sand, stone and rocks that make it attractive for lovers of all types of coastline. We will find around it a great variety of hotels, restaurants and houses for rent, so we will be able to cover all our needs easily. Nevertheless, we can find green areas that will allow us to find some natural shade. It is worth mentioning its promenade, which connects the bay with some neighboring ones such as Caló de ses Llises and Caló d'es Monjo.

Llombards Bay

Llombards Bay is located in the municipality of Santanyí and it is a bay that is easily accessible by car. The cove has several rocky areas, here we will find some jumps for the bravest! In addition to a viewpoint, nearby you will find 'Es Pontàs', one of the most emblematic natural monuments of Mallorca, which resembles a bridge rising from the sea.

Formentor Beach

Recommendation in the north part of the island, near Cap de Formentor, the northernmost point of the island, where there is a picturesque lighthouse that can be seen from the beach itself. On clear days, you can see the island of Menorca. Nearly a kilometer of beach surrounded by pine trees, where it is easy to find shade from the sun and heat. In addition, we will also have views of the Tramuntana mountains!

Caló des Moro

Caló d'es Moro is located very close to Cala Llombards, 6km from Santanyí. It is a small bay, hidden between two small cliffs. For that reason it has a complicated access: through a stone staircase that is not in its best condition. It is one of the most popular bays in this part of the island, so it is recommended to arrive early in order to find a good spot. Of course, as it is small, it is a space where you can easily control the little ones.

In the Santa Clara Urban Hotel & Spa you can rest after a day in one of the wonderful coves of the island. Located in the old town, just 5 minutes from the Cathedral of Mallorca, it is the perfect place to stroll around the city and get in touch with the Mallorcan culture and gastronomy.
